ALBANY- Carl C. Bruni, Sr., 85, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at his home. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Massimo and Agnes (Lanzi) Bruni. Mr. Bruni attended the former Philip Schuyler High School and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a truck driver for many years mainly for Quinn Freight Lines and later worked for Albany County Office of General Services. He enjoyed bowling with his buddies at the Paladium in the Capital Cities Merchant League.
Father of Carl (Terri) Bruni, Jr. of Altamont, John (Vikki) Bruni of Latham, Anthony Bruni of Albany and Dixie Bruni of Rensselaer; step-father of Donnalee (James) Redden of Troy, Sherry (Larry) Stone, Frank (Beverly) Berghela and Margaret Berghela all of Albany and Eve Zlotkin of Jersey City, NJ.; brother of the late Mary Stiffen, Polly Strohmaier, Rita Isabella and Savina Russo. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Relatives and friend are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 3 to 7 pm. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
