ALBANY- Mary Theresa Brown, 77, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Teresian House. Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late George and Rose (Brandley) Brown. Miss Brown worked in the NYS Office of the Comptroller for 25 years. After Mary retired, she lived in Florida where she loved to travel and spend time with her family there. She returned to Albany in 2015.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister Rose Ann Lyman. She is survived by her beloved family; brother George A. (Diane) Brown; nieces and nephews whom she treated like her own children, James (Kelly) Lyman, Marianne (William) Murphy and Daniel Lyman, Theresa (Michael) Patregnani, Michelle (Matthew) Preddice, George (Tina) Brown, Richard (Crystal) Brown and Cheryl (Michael) Ryan; also many grand-nieces and nephews, aunt, cousins and her devoted friends.
The family wishes to thank the Sisters and staff at the Teresian House for their outstanding care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday, November 29 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Albany.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 30 at 10 am in St. Pius X Church, 20 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville. Inurnment will follow the Mass in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12203.
