Brown Sr., Marc Anthony

Albany- Only 59 years old, Marc passed away from Lung Cancer at home on June 22nd, 2019.Marc was born in Albany and raised by his single mother, Laverne.He grew up with 3 sisters- Angela, Yvonne, Swaysia and 2 brothers- Stephen and Brian. Marc was the oldest child and that came with a big responsibility. Growing up he was very protective of his siblings, especially his sisters.Marc was extremely close to his mother. He would visit with his mom daily for hours. He would ran errands, do odd jobs and when his mom needed her hair cut, Marc would come over to the house with scissors in hand.

Marc was a great father to his 3 children and 8 stepchildren. And he was an awesome grandpa to his 22 grandchildren. Some might say that he was the resident babysitter. Because he was always willing to spend endless quality time with his grandkids.Marc was also very close with his children mothers, Kathleen and Nancy.

Marc enjoyed listening to music and doing crossword puzzles in his spare time. He was also know around the community as a handyman. But handyman doesn't begin to express Marc's nature-born talent when it came to fixing things. No matter what was broken or needed assembled, he was the guy everyone called.Instead of being placed in a Hospice Facility, Marc choose to be at home surrounded by unconditional love and emotional support of his Stepdaughter Dinaysia. He lived his final days in comfort and endless love. He was truly blessed to have had a compassionate, selfless and devoted daughter. The entire Family is Grateful and Thankful for such a strong young woman.

Marc will be forever missed and loved by so many of us. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up....

Memorial services for Marc will be celebrated on Tuesday July 9 at 3:30 pm at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave, Albany with Fr. Jonathan Gray officiating
