Brooks, Anna S.

ALBANY- Anna S. Brooks, 86, died Monday, October 31, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson.

Born and educated in Albany she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Grimm) Sauer.

Mrs. Brooks worked for the NY Telephone Company and later as a clerk for the NYS Retirement System for many years, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of the First Lutheran

Church of Albany.

Wife of the late Herman B. Brooks; mother of Johanna E. (Edward, Jr.) Baniak of Watervliet and the late Darlene N. Tenney; sister of Helen (late William) Bailey of Feura Bush and the late Fred Herbst, Edith Lawyer, Alan Sauer and Gustave Sauer, Sr.; grandmother of Edward J. Baniak III of Albany, Jason A. Baniak of Boston, MA and Shay K. Tenney of Dryersville, IA; mother-in-law of Robert Tenney of IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
