Breslin, Joseph

ALBANY - Joseph Breslin, 77 passed away Friday July 14, 2017 after a brief illness.

Born in 1939 to the late Grace (Faliero) Breslin, he attended the former Catherdral Academy in Albany. Joe worked as a Meat Cutter for many grocery stores in the Capital Region retiring from Price Chopper after many years of service.

Beloved husband of Virginia (DeAmelia) Breslin, loving father of Joseph (Barbara) Breslin and Paula (Jim) Tibbitts; proudest Poppy of Spencer and Seamus Tibbitts, and Quentin Breslin. Special Brother-in-law to Patrick (late Barbara) DeAmelia, and Frederick (Holly) DeAmelia. He was the most loved son-in-law of the late Patrick and Angeline DeAmelia. Also survived by many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Breslin and his sister Rose Breslin.

The family would like to thank the many friends and co-workers who have offered their prayers and support during the last four weeks especially the City School District of Albany and Verizon. Your care and concern made a very difficult time a little easier.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home thence to the Parish of Mater Christi where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
