Brecht, Ruth M. (Foley)

ALBANY- Ruth M. (Foley) Brecht, formerly of Thurlow Terrace died Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Teresian House.

Mrs. Brecht was a lifelong resident of Albany and Warners Lake. She was a member of the Second Ave. Senior Citizens Assoc. and a Communicant of St. John-St. Ann Church in the South End.

Wife of the late Philip A. Brecht; mother of Carol Ann Brecht Hogan of E. Berne, NY; sister of the late William, Henry, Vincent and Annetta Foley; grandmother of James (Andrea) Hogan of Johnsburg, NY and Brendan (Kimberly) Hogan of E. Berne, NY; great-grandmother of Galen and Willow Hogan, Joshua and Luke Brown; also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Teresian House for the wonderful care given to Ruth.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 28, 2011 at 9:15 am from the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. thence to St. Francis of Assisi Parish South End site (formerly St. John-St. Ann’s Church) Fourth Ave. at Franklin St., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 4-8 pm. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to St. Francis of Assisi Parish Food Pantry (South End Site), 391 Delaware Ave. Albany, NY 12209.
