Brandon, Gordon A. Sr.

Albany - Gordon A. Brandon, Sr., 88, died Monday, February 20, 2012, after a short illness.

Two days later he was joined by his beloved wife of 65 years Margaret M. Brandon. He is the father of Mrs. Joseph F. (Susan) Kiaunis, Sr., Gordon A. Brandon, Jr. and Martin S. Brandon, brother of the late Rev. Frank B. Brandon, Jr. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren (and two on the way).

Gordon worked as a railroad trainman for New York Central, Penn Central and Conrail for almost 39 years, retiring in 1983.

Joint funeral services for the devoted couple will be held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the funeral home on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont, NY.
