ALBANY – Eileen C. (Vennard) Bond, 91, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 07, 2023. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Barbara Vennard. Eileen was a graduate of Cathedral Academy and retired from NYS Division of Criminal Justice after a 35 year career as a fingerprint identification specialist. Eileen was a Communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

She was the wife of the late John J. Bond, Sr.; mother of Kathleen Malinoski (Michael), and John Bond, Jr. (Susan); grandmother of Jennifer Toohey (Ray) and John Bond III (Jeff); great-grandmother of Abigail and William Toohey; sister of Barbara Crosby (late Arthur), Gerald Vennard (Barbara), and the late Charles Vennard (Arlene), Sr. Mary Barbara Vennard CSJ, Patricia Trapasso (Joe), Robert Vennard (Lucy), Marilyn Sasso (Mike), and Jackie Vennard; sister-in-law of Peter Bond (Donna), Pat Bond, and the late Paul Bond, Joe Bond, and Mary Rose Conroy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special note of thanks to Eileen’s caregiver, Dee Dee. They are more grateful than words can express for her excellent care, compassion and selflessness.



Eileen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 13 at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. Interment will follow the Mass in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited and may also visit with her family at the Church prior to the Mass from 9:00-11:00 am.
