Blaisdell, Gordon A.

GLENMONT- Gordon A. Blaisdell, 74, died suddenly Thursday, October 11, 2012. Born and Educated in Burlington, VT he was the son of the late Alfred and Katherine (Gokey) Blaisdell.

Gordon worked as a truck driver for many years with LP Liquid Gas and H.F. Clark Trucking. He also worked for Padula Trucking as a dispatcher.

Gordon served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved animals especially dogs, and he enjoyed fishing and camping.

Father of Gordon W. (Irene) Blaisdell, Sr. of Delmar, Raymond B. (companion-Bonnie) Blaisdell of New Baltimore, Bonita K. (John) Zupan of Greenville, Robert W. (companion-Dawn) Blaisdell of Selkirk and David Conti of Guilderland; brother of Lawrence Blaisdell, Sr., Darlene (Gerald) Shepard, Carol Blaisdell and Charlotte Blaisdell all of Vermont and the late Morris, Donald and Reginald Blaisdell; uncle of the late Steven Blaisdell and Larry Blaisdell, Jr.; grandfather of Stephanie Blaisdell, Andrea Hancock, Gordon Blaisdell, Jr., James Dooley, Nicolle Blaisdell, Brian Blaisdell, Brandon Harwood and Joseph Heath; great- grandfather of Sanora, Willie, Joycelynn, Jackson, Bryce, Craig and Haley. He was also predeceased by his former wife Mary T. Blaisdell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11 am in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. There will be no calling hours.
