ALBANY- Phyllis Allan Bellcourt, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 surrounded by family. Phyllis was the loving daughter of the late Leo and Margaret Allan. She was a 1953 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names and attended the College of St Rose. After raising her children in Cobleskill, New York, she returned to to the capital region and worked at the Albany County Public Defenders Office and retired after fourteen years of service. Phyllis would want to be remembered as a kind and loyal friend and mother as evidenced in the many people who visited her over the last six weeks to say goodbye. Most important to her were her seven grandchildren who often looked out in the crowd at sporting, family and school events to see her smiling, proud face.
