Behan, Mary T.

ALBANY-Mary T. (Amedio) Behan, 82, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Albany, and raised in Ravena, Mary was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emma (Florian) Amedio. She was a clerk for the NYS Dept. of Audit & Control, retiring after many years of service. Mary enjoyed golfing with her good friends, bowling, playing the piano, needlepoint and crocheting. She was a communicant of the Parish of Mater Christi.

Mary was the wife of Thomas J. Behan; mother of Thomas (Anne) Behan, III, Kathleen (Charles) Border, Edward (Carolyn) Behan and Maureen (James) Motler; sister of Eugene (June) Amedio, Angie (late Christopher) Biscone, and the late Joseph (Mary), John (Helen), Dominick (Betty), Louie and Louise Amedio and Anne (Daniel) Tateo; also survived by nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mary’s family on Thursday, June 21 from 4 to 7:00 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Her funeral Mass will celebrated Friday, June 22 at 11:30 a.m. at the Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., Albany. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
