Bayer, William H.

ALBANY - William H. Bayer, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Montclair, NJ, he was son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Fee) Bayer. Bill was a graduate of Siena College.

Bill worked for the Albany County Department of Social Services as Director of Administrative Services. He enjoyed playing golf and accomplished a hole in one. Bill also loved the Boston Red Sox, Florida Gators and summers at the Saratoga Racetrack.

He was predeceased by his daughter Katherine Marie Bayer. Bill is survived by his sister Dorrien Hughes, nieces Lisa Delvalle and Kimberly Lock; former wife Thalia Bayer; his Aunts, Bobbie Bayer and Carol Bayer and cousins Debra Godleski, Robert Bayer, Jack Bayer, Jim Bayer and Cheryl Teke.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill's family on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. His Memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.

Inurnment will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
