Bates, Dorothy Parker

DELMAR- Dorothy E. Parker Bates, 72, of Delmar, NY passed away on September 16, 2023, after a brief illness with her love, Art, and Big sister Kathryn by her side.

Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Ida Mae (Losee) Parker. She is survived by Art Seibert, her loving soulmate of 40 plus years, sister, Kathryn Stahl, brothers, Ken (Lorraine) Parker, Jim (Janet) Parker, Leon (Anna) Parker, Karl (Debbie) Parker and sister-in-law Beth Parker. She is also survived by Art’s sons, Bryan, Kevin and Mark Seibert and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families.

She is preceded by her son, Harold Johnson, brother, Paul Parker, and brother-in-law Glenn Stahl. We will remember Dorothy for her love of family, friends, and butterflies.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Peters Hospital and Community Hospice for all their love and support.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany, NY 12209 on Saturday September 23, 2023, from 10 am to 11:30 am. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the family plot of the Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk, NY.
