Baker, Daniel J. Jr.

ALBANY-Daniel J. Baker, Jr., 89, passed away, Sunday, July 30, 2017 at home. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Lillian (Bollman) and Daniel J. Baker, Sr. and was a graduate of Albany High School. Mr. Baker worked as a truck driver for Callahan Industries for 43 years, retiring in 1990. He was a Past Master of the Guttenburg Lodge #737 and a Past Deputy District Grand Master in the Albany District. He was also a member of the Cyprus Shrine Band and Night Owls, Inc.

Husband of Mary “Jane” (Christiansen) Baker; father of Susan Baker of Dallas, TX., Kathleen Baker of Slingerlands, Daniel (Mimi) Baker, III of Slingerlands and Patricia Baker (Timothy Sweeney) of Guilderland; brother of the late Donald W. and Robert L. Baker; brother-in-law of Beverly Baker and the late Mary Baker; also survived by 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Hospice services and staff especially Terry, Jennifer and Doris.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family Thursday, August 3 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc. 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. His funeral service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
