ALBANY- Myron J. “Mike” Bach, 89, passed away suddenly Monday, August 21, 2017 at home.
Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Myron and Katherine (Flood) Bach. He graduated from St. Teresa of Avila Parish School, Christian Brothers Academy Class of 1945 and Albany College of Pharmacy, Class of 1948. Mr. Bach was a proud US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He began his career at Lippman’s Pharmacy as a boy behind the soda counter and upon graduating from Pharmacy College continued his employment there as a pharmacist and later as proprietor of the business. Mr. Bach was past president of the Albany Pharmaceutical Association. He was a longtime communicant of The Parish of Mater Christi and an avid sports fan, especially of the NY Giants and Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Ellyn (Hurley) Bach; children Michael Bach (Ruth) and Kathleen Clark (Robert); his cherished granddaughter Erin Clark; his sister Mary Katherine VanUllen Allen; brother-in-law Thomas Hurley (Loren); sister-in-law Janet Pelletier (late Gus); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother John J. Bach (Patricia).
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. prior to his Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Those who wish may send contributions in his memory to The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St. Albany, NY 12208.
