Aveyard, Mary E.

ALBANY- Mary E. Paolucci Aveyard, a lifelong resident of Albany, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 08, 2013 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1928, Mary was the beloved daughter of the late Loreto and Antoinette Paolucci. She devoted her entire life to her family and will be greatly missed by the countless number of people whose lives she touched. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. One of Mary’s greatest joys was being a grandmother to her six grandchildren. She played an active role in not only their upbringing but also in their journey into adulthood and always had a very special way with them.

She is survived by her three children, Diane Hoffay (Bill) of Hopewell Junction, Michael (Karen) of Knox and JoAnna of Albany; brothers Guido Paolucci of Schenectady and Joseph Paolucci of Albany; grandchildren and loves of her life Kelly, Meghan, Brandon, Nichole, Samantha and Whitney; four great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Nannie with the basket”; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Michael and her only sister Linda.

The family would like to wholeheartedly thank Mary’s daughter JoAnna for her tireless and continuous care of Mary, especially during these last four years of her life. She selflessly put her life on hold to take care of her and for that her brother and sister will forever be indebted to her. Also thanks you to the ER staff at Albany Medical Center for their care and compassion.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 12 at 1:30 pm in Calvary Cemetery, 481 Rt. 9W, Glenmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are respectfully requested to St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 391 Delaware Ave. Albany, NY 12209.
