Albert, Jean C.

COLONIE – Jean C. (Zeller) Albert, 79, entered into eternal life Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Zelka) Zeller.She was a graduate of the Cathedral Academy. Mrs. Albert was a clerk for the NYS Education Department, Division of Professional Licensing for 20 years, retiring in 2000. She was a Communicant of St. Pius X Church, past member of the Polish American Club Auxiliary and a volunteer with the Colonie Senior Service Center. She loved to fish, shop, cook, play cards and travel, especially cruises.

She was predeceased by her first husband Floyd C. Carson, her second husband Donald “Fritz” Albert, and her brother Joseph V. Zeller. Survivors include her children, Michael J. Carson (Margaret) of Colonie, Penny J. Beattie (Burris) of Loudonville, and Daniel C. Carson Sr. (Sharon) of Albany; six grandchildren, Michael J. Carson, II (Christine), Andrew J. Beattie (Amy Rose), Zachary Carson, Stephanie Carson, Daniel Carson, Jr. and Daniel Bartoszek; two great-grandchildren Michael J. Carson, III and Justin Carson; several nieces, nephews and her cat Fritzy.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Thursday, December 14 from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 15 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home thence to St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd. Loudonville where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Glenmont.
