Ackerman, Rosemary T.

CATSKILL - Rosemary T. (Vadney) Ackerman, found eternal peace in the arms of our Lord in the evening of January 3, 2022. Born in Albany 101 years ago, to Philip and Mary Cunningham Vadney, Rosemary cherished the beauty of evening sunsets, all of nature and her family and friends. She enjoyed vacationing with her family at Dyken Pond and Cape Cod.

Rosemary graduated from Phillip Schuyler High School. She worked for Montgomery Ward as a telephone sales operator and was a Communicant of the former St. John-St. Ann’s Church.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 64 years Bill as well as her siblings Donnie and Billy Vadney and Elizabeth Hathaway; granddaughter LauraZullo and great grandson Billy Zullo.

Loving and missing her forever are her sister Phyllis Smith, her daughter Rosemary (the late Stan) Gutkaiss, son Donald (Beverly) Ackerman; grandchildren Mark (Sharon) Zullo, Mundy Zullo,MatthewZullo and Linda Ballou, Christa Ackerman (Francisco) Escobar and Donald (Jodi) Ackerman, Jr. ;great-grandchildren Joshua (Joe Rozell) Zullo, Nikki (Ed) Hatch, Justin and Brittany Schreiner, Matthew Zullo, Jr. Logan Escobar, Vivian Ackerman, Matalyn and Abby Bergmannand Christopher Escobar; great-great-grandsons E.J. Hatch and Ethan Escobar as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Monday January 10, 2022 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave. Albany. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 391 Delaware Ave. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Selkirk. Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to the National Audubon Society.
